Test Cycle: Testing for Performance

Untimed Benchmarks

In multi-user mode, run untimed benchmarks as often as necessary, capturing

response time and throughput metrics. Resolve:

• Differences, such as cache hit rate, to the pre-upgrade state

• Bottlenecks

• Other problems or mistakes

Be sure that you have enough default data cache after the upgrade. Tune as

needed to fix problems. Between runs, restore your databases from backup or

perform a quick reset.
