Description of operating controls

(1) Power[On/Off] Press to switch the digital recorder on or off.

(2) Record Press to start recording.

(3) Playback Press to switch to playback mode.

(4) Transfer Press to start transferring a picture via the RS-232 interface.

(5) Menu Press to switch to the OSD of the digital recorder.

(6) Search Press to search for date and time.

(7) Event Press to search for alarm events.

(8) Rewind Press to rewind at normal speed.

(9) Enter Press to confirm selection or input.

(a) REW Press for fast rewind.

(b) Down Press to select specific menu items.

(d) FWD Press to wind forward at normal speed.

(e) Up Press to select specific menu items.

(10) Hard disk Slot for portable hard disk

(11) LEDs Show the current state of the digital recorder.

IMPORTANT: To lock the operating controls to prevent operation of the digital recorder, press the Down

and Up controls (b and e) simultaneously. If these controls are pressed again, the user is asked to enter a

password. If the password is accepted, the recorder is unlocked.
